Job Description

VP, Relationship Manager Technology Partners, Merchant Services supports the established portfolio of technology partnerships in Canada with the objective to enhance Merchant Services ability to support and grow our business by developing sales and marketing strategies to positively impact the key drivers that include: Lead Generation, New Merchant Relationships and Profitability.The position, based in Toronto, reports to the Vice President, Technology Partnerships, Chase Merchant Services.We are seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented, and experienced Sales/Relationship Management Professional to join our Partnerships Team. You will be part of a team focused on retaining and expanding our Partnerships business Canada wide, accountable for channel revenue growth and profitability by managing a portfolio of strategic partnerships. You will collaborate with the Canadian Market Head and the Canada leadership team to help shape the partnership strategy and the approach to product and integration partnerships in the market. You will be responsible for managing referral program performance with the goal of promoting our products and services, and ultimately negotiating with decision makers to ensure program success.Responsibilities:

  • Assess partnership program, identify opportunities to drive qualified referrals and implement tactics/changes required to achieve your overall sales targets within the assigned portfolio
  • Develop, implement and lead the launch of programs taking into account all aspects of the go to market plan including but not limited to marketing programs, sales and partner training, forecasting and customer support readiness
  • Lead partner engagement collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Relationship Management, Operations and Technology
  • Support Canada liaison for global partnership opportunities and multi-market deals, including WePay implementations.
  • Create, negotiate and execute commercial terms
  • Support business cases, including opportunity sizing and budgeting
  • Ensure required certifications and deliver operational and go to market plans
  • Observe a strong control environment for new partnerships in Canada
  • Contribute to building best practices and strong relationships across the Merchant Services partnership community
  • Excellence - has a track record of exceeding goals, sets high standards of performance for self and others with a high sense of responsibility
Qualifications:
  • 5 + years business to business sales and strategic account management experience
  • Substantial client or partner facing experience with proven ability to cultivate partnerships
  • Strong commercial acumen and deep experience in partnership deals
  • Marketing and project management experience preferred
  • Highly self-motivated, positive and enthusiastic
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, including driving results and meeting critical deadlines
  • Successful experience in business development and partnerships background
  • Strong knowledge and relationships across Canadian and global merchant acquiring, including POS software developers and value added resellers
  • Solid proficiency in payments product and technology
  • Ability to work effectively across the Wholesale Payments Business, including client facing teams, product, field strategy, operations and IT
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to champion campaigns and initiatives
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent training in business, marketing and sales in lieu of degree.
