Job Description

Are you an outcome-focused strategic leader with strong analytical, project management, and relationship building skills Are you a strong people leader interested in helping to support the delivery of various programs and services to Ontarians Do you thrive supporting large operational programs and services with quality and timely policy, research, corporate and project management supportIf so, consider this position as a Project Analyst with the Program Services and Relationship Management Unit to provide leadership in the development, maintenance and delivery of strategic and transformational initiatives while working collaboratively with various partners and stakeholders within the branch and throughout the OPS.About UsThe Account Management and Collections Branch provides tax, revenue and benefit program delivery, as well as collections services to clients in support of the ministrys mandate.The Program Services and Relationship Management unit provides expertise to the branch by improving programs and services and managing relationships for business process enhancement projects and other corporate initiatives (i.e., project charters, procurements, implementation of Budget initiatives, etc.).   • Research and collect various sources of information to support policy and program development
  • Analyze and evaluate policy/program information and data using quantitative analysis to draft analyses, policy/program reports, options papers, recommendations, and briefing material
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance, advice and interpretation related to research, data analysis, performance analysis, program development and related issues
How do I qualifyResearch, Analytical and Program Evaluation SkillsYou have:
  • Knowledge and skills in research, analytical and program evaluation techniques, including survey techniques and, performance measures to conduct environmental scans, trends analyses, quantitative and qualitative research from multi-jurisdictional sources and costing of programs/policy changes
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policies and understand how this impacts decision making
Communication and Consultation SkillsYou have:
  • Written communication skills to draft policy papers, reports, analyses, correspondence, briefing notes, and materials for Cabinet submissions
  • Oral communication and consultation skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to exchange ideas and identify opportunities, concerns and issues related to program activities, and provide recommendations
  • Presentation skills to provide program guidance, explain recommendations, and propose resolutions to issues
Project, Change Management and Program/Policy Development SkillsYou have:
  • Knowledge of project and change management theories, practices and techniques to assist on projects
  • Knowledge of program and policy development principles to analyze and prepare new or revised policy/program options/recommendations
Computer Skills
  • You are proficient with computer software applications to research and prepare materials (i.e. Internet, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc)
