Job Description

We are currently accepting applications for Engineered Wood Products Yard Staff to add to our team at our Oak Bluff, MB. Branch.Engineered Wood Products Yard Staff – Oak Bluff BranchAs a valuable member of our truss plant team your duties will include:

  • Cutting and packing of engineered wood product (I joists and beams) floor systems to customer specifications
  • Ensures all paperwork is accurate and completed in a timely manner
  • Communicates to management and staff any changes to orders or issues
  • Cleans yard of dunnage, banding and garbage as required to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Assists the Shipper Receiver as required
  • Provides assistance to production workers as required
  • Assists cycle counts and annual inventory count
The successful candidate will:
  • Have a safety mindset and demonstrate high attention to detail
  • Be physically able to repeatedly, stand, walk and lift/carry over 50lbs
  • The ability to work in a fast paced team environment is essential
  • Previous experience with safe operation of Chain Saws, banding equipment and forklifts would be an asset but training will be provided
  • Steel toed safety boots are required
  • Previous Truss manufacturing experience is an asset but not required
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including the Health and Safety program
  • Hearing test required as condition of employment
