Job Description

Reports ToProduction SupervisorLocated in Okanagan Falls, Unit Electrical Engineering (UEE), is looking to hire a positive, reliable Labourer to join our team in the Motor Shop Department. Reporting to the Lead Hand, this position is responsible for the production, service and maintenance of Linear Induction Motors (LIMs).What we do: From domestic and global mining, oil & gas installations to industrial and commercial applications UEE powers industry. UEE designs and manufactures custom and standard electrical power distribution and control equipment for mining, oil & gas, renewable energy and various commercial and industrial applications. We also manufacture and service the Linear Induction Motors (LIM) used on Bombardiers INNOVIA advanced rapid transit (ART) metro vehicles around the world.What we offer:

Summary of what you will do:
  • Clean and prepare work areas
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools
  • Operate overhead crane and forklifts
  • Conduct quality inspections of material and workmanship
Qualifications:
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Capable of physical labour
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Commitment to quality & safety
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
