Job Description

Contribute to CASA Mental Health’s vision of a community where all children and families are provided timely mental health care.We’re looking for someone who is organized, passionate about mental health and eager to make an impact in their community.​Job DetailsSalary range: $52,000 – $78,000 Shift structure: Monday to Friday Primary location: CASA DowntownUnion: ExemptFTE: 1.0Status:Permanent​About the RoleThe Executive Assistant, Board of Directors will:

  • Support, coordinate and prepare Board of Directors meetings and events, including:
    • Arrange calendar items, room bookings, and refreshments as needed.
    • Prepare and distribute agendas and background materials for board meetings.
    • Complete meeting minutes.
    • Track and follow up on action requests.
  • Provide primary support, coordination and preparation to the Board Development Committee, in collaboration with the Director, People and Culture.
  • Prepare, coordinate and organize events for CASA’s Board of Directors, including the, Annual Board Retreat and Annual General meeting
  • Maintains and oversee board policies, procedures, processes and documentation, including the Board web portal and orientation manual.
  • Provide backup support for Chief Executive Officer and Director, Medical in the absence of their Executive Assistant.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration, office administration, or related.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in board operations and governance support. Working knowledge of Robert’s Rules of Order is an asset.
  • Experience in supporting senior level leadership and/or C-Suite executives is an asset.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills that promote mutually beneficial, respectful and professional relationships.
  • Excellent computer skills, with a minimum of 75 words per minute typing average with 95 per cent accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize, multitask and navigate shifting priorities as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently and effectively apply high level critical thinking, decision-making skills in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
