Job Description

Translational Research in Oncology (TRIO) is a global academic clinical research organization dedicated to advancing translational cancer research in the clinical trial setting. Our passionate team is committed to providing cancer treatments of the future to the world of today. TRIO is looking for a Procurement / Clinical Outsourcing Associate, (internally referred to as Clinical Outsourcing Unit Manager)to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Clinical Outsourcing Unit Manager this position will be Remote in Canada.Responsibilities:

  • Supports the design and maintenance of Clinical Outsourcing Standard Operating Procedures)Procedures, activity trackers, tools (budget templates, budget review tools, etc.)
  • Provides oversight of TPO budgets including monthly review of TPO activities, budget forecasts, budget reconciliation and negotiation of change orders, as required under supervisor’s guidance
  • Negotiates Master Service Agreement (MSA) and creates standard budget grids with the TPO’s with direction from the supervisor.
  • Performs quality control on TPO file and works with COU Specialist to resolve issues or discrepancies and reaches out to parties involved for additional information when necessary
  • Participates in the identification, selection and engagement of TPO’s for ongoing and future business
  • Liaises with the TPO’s and other departments to ensure that the above-mentioned tasks are completed in accordance with the agreed timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Business, Commerce or Life Sciences) is preferred but will consider combinations of education and experience
  • Previous experience working with contracts and the ability to negotiate contracts with TPOs on behalf of TRIO
  • Knowledge of budgeting process is preferred which would include working with budget templates and budget review tools
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel
  • French speaking would be considered an asset
