If you have a passion for hospitality, is organized, pays great attention to detail, and can build rapport with guests you may be successful in the position of:Event and Activity PlannerElkhorn Resort is looking for a goal oriented, organized person with a passion for guest services. The Events Assistant will play an important role in providing a fun, entertaining, engaging environment for all Resort guests. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, hosting and tracking participation for our daily kids’ activities as well as create and execute some unique experiences for our adult guests. The Planner will work with kids and families to offer games, activities, and arts & crafts for the kids. They will work with the General Manager to create and carry out some events for guests of all ages. This could include things like unique culinary experiences, dinner in the field, private spa parties etc...Job Duties Also Include: · Create program descriptions for all organized programs· Purchase and prepare supplies for activities while staying within budget· Greets, acknowledges and interacts with guests and children in a friendly manner· Maintain a professional attitude at all times· Perform other duties as assigned· Excellent communication & organizational skills and the ability to pay attention to details are required· Informing a Supervisor or Manager of any and all incidents, complaints or suggestions given on a daily basis· Responsible for the appearance of activity areas utilizedQualifications: Excellent early childhood skills, creative planning skills, communication skills for guest interactions, the ability to take a proactive approach to understanding the resort, children and guest needs, exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.Working conditions/ physical requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   • Ability to arrive at work on time for all scheduled work shifts required. Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays required
  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and readily able to adjust to changes in work environment.
  • Position requires daily public contact
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Must frequently move up to approximately 10 pounds (i.e. equipment, supplies. Etc)
  • Ability to work outdoors at times
