Process Improvement Leader - FinanceLocation: Any Canadian LocationEmpire life is looking to hire a Process Improvement Leader to join our Corporate Finance team.Why pursue this opportunity

  1. The role- Process Improvement Leaders are expected to perform well on assigned projects and initiatives. The successful execution of assignments over time may lead to the Process Improvement Leader moving into other leadership roles in finance. By continuously demonstrating leadership, execution excellence, and delivering impactful results, you will have the opportunity to take on new challenges and contribute to the organization’s success in prominent roles within the finance domain.
What you’ll be working on
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to evaluate existing finance processes, identify pain points and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Initiate and build effective relationships with colleagues in other departments, leveraging strong interpersonal and influencing skills to support and develop effective cross-departmental relations and work initiatives
  • Conduct thorough analysis of current workflows, systems and data to identify areas of optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Design and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance investment operations, reduce risk, and increase overall effectiveness
  • Lead and facilitate process improvement projects, ensuring effective project management, adherence to timelines, and successful implementation.
  • Apply process improvement methodologies to identify root causes, propose solutions and drive process changes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the investment sector to proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
  • Establish KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and develop metrics to measure investment process performance and report on results to stakeholders
What we’re looking for you to have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
  • Professional work experience within the accounting and finance discipline, preferably in the insurance and/or financial services sector
  • Experience with financial operations, management and/or implementations
  • Knowledge and experience with internal controls over financial reporting
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting technical issues
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and raise/resolve technical and business issues and risks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels of the organization
