Job Description

We are presently accepting resumes for a Summer Student to provide administrative support to the People and Culture department. This is a full-time position starting as soon as April 21, 2025 for approximately 4-5 months. This position works up to 37.5 hours biweekly with an hourly rate of pay of $21.11. Please note that this position is contingent upon funding approval through the Federal Government Canada Summer Jobs program.Minimum requirements of this position include:

  • Completion of secondary school and enrolled in post-secondary education in a closely related field of education which may include business/office administration, Human Resources or legal administration, or other closely related fields
  • Related experience is an asset
  • A valid class G driver #39;s license and reliable transportation is an asset
Overview of Duties (including, but not limited to):
  • Providing administrative duties and support to the department
  • Filing of hard copy documents in employee files
  • Assisting with the recruitment process including posting job vacancies on our applicant tracking system
  • Scheduling interviews, preparing interview packages, completing references
  • Providing support for Health and Safety, labour relations, taking minutes and preparing for approval and distribution
  • Performing other duties, special assignments as required by the Manager or persons above that rank
