Job Description

FOODSERVICE WORKERTemporary – September 2022 to June 2023Twenty (20) to Twenty-five (25)hours per week, plus additional casual hours as required$16.72 - $20.90per hourTheSimcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for theposition of Food Service Worker to work at Twin Lakes Secondary School. Reporting to the school principal, thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for providing food preparations,service and sales to school staff and students, working closely with theteaching chef and culinary students serving breakfast and lunch with additionala la carte and catering sales. The successful candidate will be highly motivated,personable, and capable of working both independently and as a team member.Pertinent Skills and Experience:

Prior experiencein Nutritional standards and food safety guidelines;
Valid FoodHandlers certificate;
Demonstratesknowledge of service, quality, equipment, and operations standards;
Ability tomulti-task, work independently and in a team environment;
Ability to receiveand process payment for cafeteria and catering services;
Strong customerservice, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills;
Able to establishpositive relationships with staff and students;
Prior knowledge ofPOS (Point of Sale) systems would be an asset;
