Our signature dishes include burgers, fresh cut fries and loaded poutines!Job descriptionThe Ultimate Food Truck is currently seeking short order cooks to work year round.The short order cook is responsible for preparing, cooking and serving various food products; ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed; operating a variety of kitchen utensils & cooking equipment for food product cooking; collecting payments & performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business.Essential functions:- ensures proper food handling procedures are followed - wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperatures of products- cleans and sanitizes work station and equipment- need to be punctual, able to follow directions, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment- able to take food orders and collect paymentsMinimum qualifications, knowledge, skills & work environment:- requires the ability to lift/push objects weighing up to 50lbs- requires the ability to bend, twist and stand to perform normal job functions- requires the ability to read, speak and comprehend instructions as well as converse comfortably with customers- detailed oriented and work in a fast-paced environment- must be willing to work flexible hours and be available for day/weekend shifts as required- work as a member of a team- experience cooking on deep fryers is necessary as 80% of our food is deep fried- a food handlers certificate is mandatory- food service experience a plusOnly candidates who are selected for an interview will be contacted.Job Type: Part-timePart-time hours: 15-40 per weekSalary: From $16.00 per hourBenefits:
