SummarySkilled Laborers work closely with the Foreperson to successfully complete residential and commercial landscape projects with an emphasis on safety, timelines, and quality.QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalentG class license and clean driving abstract considered an assetExperienceIn installing landscape projects in residential and commercial propertiesIn communicating with customers, staff, suppliers, and other individuals as requiredIn safe construction practicesIn operating machinery including skid steers and excavatorsResponsibilitiesAssist in the installation of landscape projects at residential and commercial including the installation of interlock walkways, retaining walls, steps and softscapesAssist in the completion of daily paperwork including equipment and vehicle checklists, work orders, and other required paperwork and documentsWork cooperatively in a team environmentWith assistance from the landscape foreperson, operate various tools and equipment in a safe manner including stone saws, plate tampers and other small hand tools and heavy equipment such as skid steers and mini excavatorArrive to working with a positive attitude and willing to learnAll other reasonable tasks as assigned by the foreperson or general managerEfforts / Working ConditionsThis position requires you to work outside in varying weather conditions including rain and hot and cold temperatures.Employees must wear CSA approved steel toed bootsLength of employment is from April to December annually.
