The Library Clerk supports literacy development by creating anorganized, friendly, and efficient library environment for teachers, students, and community members.QUALIFICATIONS Grade 12 Ability to work well with teachers, students, administration, and public Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to lift boxes (up to 20 kg), maneuver book trucks, distribute and maintain AV equipmentDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Circulates library resources including periodicals, library materials and AV equipment to school staff,students and community members Assesses the needs of the library collection and provides support for selecting new resources Receives and updates processed library materials from Library Services Receives and processes periodicals and library resources from suppliers Maintains library organization by shelving resources (daily or after library classes), shelf reading (oneshelving unit per week) Performs inventory for AV equipment (cleaning and inventory) and library resources Promotes library resources through bulletin board displays (changed quarterly) and book fairs Performs other duties as assignedApplications should include a cover letter, current resume and a list of three professional referencesincluding contact numbers.
