Job Description

Step into a transformative role at MATRIX, a national company providing camps, logistics and aviation management services to a diverse range of clients primarily in the Junior Mining and exploration resource and service sectors. This position will spearhead the expansion of our business by actively acquiring new clients throughout Canada and Internationally. You will help grow our presence in the mineral exploration and mining sectors, as well as ensure all open business opportunities are captured and acted on. We operate in an industry where relationships drive business success. This is not a role where you spend much of your time at home behind a computer screen, this role necessitates face to face interaction, and the successful candidate will immerse themselves in these exciting and growing industries as our society transitions more and more towards green technologies.Desired Qualities:

Position Duties:
  • Champion MATRIX’s business model and service strategy, internally and externally, utilizing a proactive and hands-on approach.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive presentations tailored to both new and existing clients.
  • Position yourself as a pivotal problem solver, continuously aiming to surpass client expectations through innovative solutions and engaging, proactive client interactions.
  • Execute prospecting activities such as cold calling and networking with a strategic approach, ensuring that each effort is purposeful and targeted.
  • Carefully foster and expand client relationships, identifying new opportunities for collaboration and engagement within the mining industry.
  • Spearhead and execute a comprehensive growth strategy across Canada, ensuring impactful market presence and sustained success.
  • Collaborate effectively to ensure regional initiatives align seamlessly with MATRIX’s overarching strategic goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be able to travel, at times up to 50% of the time, this includes travel to the US and across Canada, a valid passport is required.
  • At least 5+ years of business development in the mining industry or related industries (exploration, logistics, mechanical) is required.
  • Must be able to show past success (verified by references) in closing new deals, and successfully generating new contracts, business revenue, or future opportunities.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, and sub-contracting of mechanical team opportunities would be highly desired.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation, superb interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Driven to succeed independently, exhibiting high self-motivation and a proactive approach, as the role provides substantial autonomy.
  • Must have a very solid and demonstrated understanding of the mining industry and market dynamics in various regions.
  • Must have an existing and extensive network in this sector.
Terms of employment:
  • Competitive wage (base annual salary of between $80,000 - $110,000 + commission)
