Become part of the dedicated and creative team at Algonquin College of Applied Arts & Technology, selected as one of National Capital Regions Top Employers for the last ten years in a row.Reporting to the Dean of the School of Business, the Academic Chair is responsible for providing academic leadership in the management and administration of faculty, support staff and students in the Operations Management Department, which includes programming related to the following clusters: Supply Chain Management, International Business and Project Management. The Academic Chair is responsible for establishing a strategic direction for the Department that is aligned with the Colleges strategic plan and faculty goals.The Academic Chair is accountable for the planning, development, delivery, quality assurance and financial viability of the post-secondary education programs of the Department. The Academic Chair provides broad academic leadership in curriculum development, design and evaluation, applied scholarship, and experiential learning to meet the needs of a diverse population.The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the offerings are responsive and relevant to the needs of the students and the community at large, developing and implementing new initiatives to reflect changing technology, economic and market influences and employment opportunities in accordance with current business/industry standards as well as College and ministry guidelines.What We Offer:
