To learn more, please visit https://NFP.ca.About the RoleWe’re looking for an Account Manager who will join us as a key member of the group benefits service team for our Lancaster St. Office in Ottawa, ON. The AM will work autonomously and in collaboration with consultants and fellow AMs to service an assigned block of business. This includes liaising with other internal, client & carrier stakeholders to act as an escalation resource for claim and contract issues.What You’ll doOffice AdministrationSupport the GBS team in the day-to-day admin including formatting, editing, branding & binding documents, manage incoming/outgoing mail, etc.Maintain client files/records on NFP’s network & client management softwareClient ServiceAssist in implementation and amendments of programs with the insurance carrier on behalf of the client; ordering monthly billing statements and experience reports from carrier websites as requiredMeet with new clients to gather data critical to installation of new business, debriefing after the account has been installedPrepare for and participate in employee presentations, meetings, and benefit fairsProvide ongoing support to Plan Administrators by preparing and implementing revisions for plan design changesProvide clarification of administrative procedures, contractual terms and conditions, and product-specific featuresGenerate revenue growth opportunities by identifying needs for additional lines of coverage, cross-selling to P&C lines and Wealth Management departmentsWhat You BringTypically, 2 in the group insurance industry specifically in employee benefits, including Underwriting, Sales & Service working on mid to large size companiesExtensive knowledge in group benefits policy contracts and languageStrong oral and written communication skills, including business writing skillsExceptional attention to detail including strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize/manage workload under pressure with tight deadlinesAbility to work autonomously but also able to collaborate well with the teamBilingual French and English (both written and oral) preferredStrong decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)Certificates, Licenses, Registration:LLQP (Life License Qualification Program) is an assetWhat We OfferA competitive wage including Group health and dental benefits from day one, flexible leave days, RRSP matching, and continuing education assistance/reimbursementA Focus on Health & Wellness with an excellent EAP programOpportunities to grow as an insurance professional and advance careerMotivating work atmosphereA global team of insurance experts focused on client retention, growth, industry innovation, and teamworkNFP and You...
