Job DescriptionReporting to the DocDoctor Editor-in-Chief, the Administrative Assistant/ Executive Assistant will work from home/ remotely. The ideal candidate should be easy to work with, open to learning through research and guidance, resourceful, creative, and energetic. A passion for providing timely, accurate, and complete information, communications, and administrative assistance is essential. A personal interest in writing, editing, and providing high-quality client services is a must. This is a friendly, collaborative position, with help always just an e-mail, text, phone call, or meeting away. This position includes, but is not limited to, the following core tasks:· Providing virtual (remote) office administration support, including answering phone calls, replying to e-mails, and relaying inter-corporate communications;· Liaising with new and existing clients to book orders for services;· Preparing invoices, performing basic bookkeeping (online), and completing basic financial administration tasks;· Assisting writers and editors in the completion of client files, revisions, and special projects;· Developing creative website, social media, and advertising/ marketing content;· Assisting with the triage and workflow of the Editor-in-Chief as an Executive Assistant, as well as supporting the triage/ workflow of the Lead Writer and other Writers;· Other duties and special projects as assigned.3. Requirements· Experience: previous administrative experience in a customer-facing or customer relations role is preferred. Previous experience in writing, editing, communications, or public relations roles or academic programs is an asset. The ability to communicate in French is not required, however, bilingualism is an asset. Wages & Hours of WorkNo in-person “office hours” are required at this time, particularly in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic. The successful candidate will work from home/ remotely at a rate of $20.00 per hour for 40 hours per week.The potential for upward advancement, increased hourly wages, and/ or a conversion to salary are all possible, commensurate with performance.
