  • Provide accurate translations of texts and documents (correspondence, reports, policies, manuals, advertising/marketing material) from English to French or vice-versa and ensure it meets company guidelines
  • Proofread all translated French/English material and correct any errors of content, spelling, grammar, punctuation and typing
  • Perform terminological research using previous translations, specialized dictionaries, reference material and bilingual documents
  • Establish and maintain standards with regards to quality, grammar, terminology, style and usage and ensure that all translations meet established standards
  • Work with and update translation memory and glossary such as WordFast and/or TM to perform translations
  • Regularly liaise and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency of messaging and that conveying correct intent and meaning
  • Excellent communication with our internal clients and translation agencies to ensure timelines are met as well as consistency of messaging and that conveying correct intent and meaning
  • Research external vendors for specialized translation software and/or reference documents or materials (i.e., dictionaries, writing guides, etc) as required
  • Coordinate workflows and processes of the translation department (when needed)
  • Work on 5-10 different projects simultaneously
Qualifications Do you have:
  • Bachelor degree or Certificate in Translation
  • Minimum of 3-years’ experience in Translation
  • A demonstrated knowledge of: translation theories, revision methods, techniques and standards, reference documents, online translation tools, writing styles, technical terminology; and terminology banks/databases
  • Proficient written and oral English & French
  • Experience working with a translation software such as Trados, Wordfast or any other translation software
  • Have an elevated sense of collaboration and have a team work attitude
