For more information, please visit www.thermofisher.com.How will you make an impactYou will be responsible for buying franchised finished goods items within a specific buying portfolio of high impacting suppliers, maintaining inventory for these products to meet customer fill rate goals and corporate inventory objectives. An integral part of this position is the ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, and ensure the timely supply of products to customers. The successful candidate is responsible for maintaining close relationship with suppliers to develop innovative ways to improve and ensure that customer fill rate goals are met or exceeded. You will proactively finds ways to improve operational efficiencies and drive performance improvements through facilitation with internal business partners utilizing Practical Process Improvement Business System tools.What will you doDuties include but are not limited to:Purchases franchised finished goods products for inventory and for customer sale.Responsible for maximizing delivery performance and fill rate to customers while controlling inventory costs to meet corporate goals.Manages inventory by minimizing slow moving, obsolete, expired, overstocked and dead itemsWorks to resolve chronic delivery problems with suppliers and escalates unresolved issues to Supply Chain Manager and Portfolio Management team.Monitors critical orders that require special handling and follows up to ensure contractual and urgent requirements are satisfiedProvides reporting, analysis and feedback on key suppliers including leading regular supplier performance review meetings and successfully executing identified projects to help improve our Order Fulfillment results for Customer Allegiance Scorecards.Effectively utilizes available business tools (Inbound & Customer On Time Ship, Service Level, Top Outage items & daily reports) to help meet performance goalsEnsures supplier contract adherence where applicable.Supports annual cost roll process as required, challenges or escalates significant off-cycle changes.How will you get hereMinimum Requirements /Qualifications:Minimum College Diploma with a background in a business, procurement, or logistics discipline preferred. University degree preferred.3 years of minimum work experience in a business environment (procurement is preferred)Successful performance results with proven resilience to overcome obstacles along the way.Effective written and verbal communication skills with call to action messaging.Attested ability to build strong interpersonal relationships through positive, flexible and engaging interactions.Proven ability to effectively prioritize and work independently.Detail oriented and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and OutlookPreferred Qualifications:Enrolment in, or completion of, Certified Purchasing Professional designation program of APICS certification is an assetDemonstrates sound judgment, persistence and diplomacyProficient with using an ERP system, Cognos BI, SQL and ability to build macros are an asset.Bilingualism (French/English) is an assetAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
