And you’ll know that you’re making a difference every day—for companies, for Canada and for the people you work with.Year after year, EDC has been recognized as a Top 100 and Top Family-Friendly Employer. #LI-HybridJob OverviewAs part of the Corporate Communications, Marketing and Corporate Strategy Group, the Marketing team is seeking a Content Marketer & Brand Storyteller to support the communication and integration of EDC’s brand platform.The Content Marketer and Brand Storyteller will be responsible to develop high-quality and engaging content to drive EDC’s brand strategy and identity, lead creative projects, enable employees to use branded tools, messaging and templates, and work with stakeholders across the business to ultimately drive EDC’s brand health.They will help bring the brand to life through strategy, storytelling, campaigns, events, communication tools and tactics, across all platforms and throughout EDC’s customer and stakeholder journey.The ideal candidate will have a significant role in supporting the development, implementation, and governance of EDC’s brand guidelines as well as the national brand campaign, participating in the creative process from brief to execution and measurement. They will leverage market research, customer insights, best practice, and internal expertise to effectively inform and develop the brand.An exceptional communicator, strategist, and creative thinker, they will work closely with the Brand Campaign Manager and Sr. Brand Program Manager to develop EDC’s recently launched brand platform and embed it across everything we do. They will collaborate with agency partners to produce content for brand campaigns and provide advice and support to internal content creators to ensure alignment with brand guidelines. They will also work with the Sr. Events Program Manager to consult on content for events, partnerships, and sponsorships.The incumbent will have a deep understanding of the importance of brand integration and consistency and will act as a champion for brand across EDC. On any given day, the Content Marketer and Brand Storyteller may work on briefs, campaign copy, brand reviews, event, sponsorship & partnership materials, and provide advice on strategy, marketing, culture, and communications tools, in an effort to embed the brand across everything we do, to ultimately have more impact for Canadian exporters.Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Effective storytelling, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Marketing communications and campaign development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Demonstrated team player and cross-functional collaborator.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and leveraging the writing style guide to create content that is on brand and consistent with other communications across EDC channels and platforms.
  • Align with other content marketers and producers to collaborate on content production, following EDC standards and best practices and leverage assets created across the team.
  • Manage and develop content in the form of blogs, articles, landing pages, infographics, guides, newsletters, emails, social copy and other promotional materials.
  • Represent Brand Team at editorial planning and work with lead content strategist to identify ways to ensure brand narrative and messaging is considered in all areas of content.
  • Work with content promotion team, marketing agile teams and business stakeholders on assigned content development projects.
Screening Criteria
  • Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in B2B content creation and storytelling on digital platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing principles and practices
  • Excellent writing and communications skills in English. General writing style that can adapt to different forums such as digital, marketing, customer focused, etc.
  • Experience in research, writing and content production
  • General understanding of SEO and SEM, site analytics
  • Digital marketing experience
Asset
  • Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)
  • Experience with agile methodologies
Salary Range
  • $64,100 - $96,100
