Find your future with us.The Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking a Contract Management Specialist, reporting to the Senior Manager Contracts and Pricing, and will be working out of the Ottawa, Ontario office. The Contract Management Specialist will join the International Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) Contracts team. This team supports the International Global Services (IGS) business and the Canadian Defense efforts.As part of the International DCS Contracts team, the Contract Management Specialist will be focused and aligned to our current and growing global customers and aligned across the Boeing Global Service sites. This position will partner with the IGS Regional Directors and Project Managers along with Global Sales and Marketing from pre-proposal activities to proposal and contract development, to award and continuing throughout contract execution and delivery. The Contract Management Specialist will work closely with One Boeing International Process (OBIP), with particular emphasis on the Emergent Business Process (EBP). This position will be required to address areas such as Tax, Treasury, Insurance, Law and Export Compliance throughout the preparation, review and approval process.Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the acquisition team in support of requirements definition planning, organizing, development and submittal of proposals and subsequent negotiation and administration.
  • Close coordination with various internal functions (including, but not limited to Estimating & Pricing, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Financial Controls, Program Management, Global Sales and Marketing, etc.).
  • Requirements definition with internal and external customers; Request for proposal review; Proposal Plan of Action development; coordination and facilitation of functional inputs; proposal development; proposal gate reviews; negotiations; contract award and post award activities.
  • Research and effectively solve problems, effectively collaborate and lead acquisition teams, develop negotiation positions and ensure proper hand-offs with the execution team
  • Domestic and/or International Travel will be required as needed.

  • 2 years of experience with pre-proposal activities and contract development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have intermediate experience using Microsoft office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Candidate must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment. Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
  • Prefer experience working with Government programs
  • Current Canadian Secret Clearance is preferred
  • Post-Secondary education
Typical Education:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years related work experience, 7 years related work experience, etc.).Relocation:This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.This requisition is for a, locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada.
