Mechatronics D.S. offers turnkey development of complex automated equipment and robotic manufacturing lines. We are a small team of engineers, technicians, and designers determined to create top-quality automated manufacturing lines with a significant impact on our clients’ businesses. Our services include process automation, equipment design, electrical engineering, robotic integration, and site implementation.Do you like new challenges and varied work in a supportive environment Ongoing projects include:

  • Research and development of environmentally friendly building materials.
  • Solar panel control and upgrade.
  • High speed robotic checkweigher of precious metals.
  • Industrial manufacturing: automated assembly, punching, cutting.
  • Integration of AI-based equipment effectiveness monitoring data collection terminals.
  • Carbon fiber manufacturing for high performance footwear.
  • Novel and automated agriculture for vertical farms.
  • Automated industrial food manufacturing.
  • Robotic machine tending.
  • Automated robotic mineral analysis.

Core Job Responsibilities:
  • Create PLC programs. Ladder Logic and/or structured text
  • Control systems, network communication, and industrial process requirement definition and design for new machine builds.
  • Source and procure industrial automation control equipment.
Potential Responsibilities (Optional)
  • Electrical panels design and build.
  • Robot and machine vision integration.
  • Electrical design and engineering.
  • Installation and commissioning.
Required Qualifications:We ask candidates to apply only if they possess all the required qualifications.
  • University or college degree in electrical controls or related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience developing PLC programs in an Industrial context.
  • Hands-on experience in building and commissioning automated machinery and robotics.
Desired Experience:
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)—Omron or Siemens preferred.
  • Electrical Controls Design—Solidworks Electrical preferred.
  • Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
  • Motion Control (Pneumatic, Servos, and VFD drives).
  • Robotic Integration—Epson, Yaskawa Motoman, UR, Doosan, and Fanuc preferred.
  • Machine Vision Systems –Cognex, Epson, and Keyence preferred.
  • Digital communications.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, including: CSA Z432-16 Safeguarding of machinery and C22.1 Canadian electrical code.
