Overview:Locally owned and operated since 1927, Bruce Fuels is looking for professional DZ tandem truck drivers in support of its operations throughout eastern Ontario & Western Quebec.Full-time permanent position, day shift. Home at the end of every shift; no overnight sleeping in truck.Occasional night or weekend shift may be required given seasonal surges or unanticipated circumstancesPart-time evening & weekend shifts also availableOpportunities for advancement exist as well for those who are working towards earning their AZ license in order to operate semi tractor-trailers.Job Summary:Operating tandem fuel truck safely, following all roadway rules & regulationsDelivering various petroleum-based products to locations throughout eastern Ontario & western QuebecWhile following all safety protocols, loading petroleum products at various terminals in the greater Ottawa areaComplete daily pre-trip inspections of unit being operatedMaintain accurate driving logsSubmit daily paperworkReport any technical issues with equipment being operatedComply with all Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulationsPresent yourself in a professional manor at all timesMaintain cleanliness of trucks interiorMinimum Job Requirements:DZ LicenseA positive, “let’s get it done†attitude, enjoys & works well in a team environment.Meet all medical standards for operating DZ trucks (including vision standards)Knowledge & recognition of importance of health & safety in the workplaceHaving previously operated petroleum tankers is preferred, but not a requirementFamiliarity with computer & paper-based log books, preferredMust provide a valid Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) certificateMust have a clean driver’s abstract / recordMust be able to communicate effectively in English or French (bilingualism considered an asset)Ability to lift 14 to 22 kilogramsWe Offer:Competitive wages commensurate with skills & experiencePaid training, including fulfilling carding requirements at various terminalsBoot allowanceSafety bonusHealth benefits, including vision care, dental care, prescriptionsJob Types: Full-time, permanent as well as part-time evenings / weekendsJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeSalary: From $23.00 per hourBenefits:
