All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified.School Profile: Students attending Clifford Bowey Public School come to us through the specialized program placement referral process. All students have Developmental Disabilities, and many also have Autism. Our dedicated, experienced staff of teachers and educational assistants work in 13 homeroom teams of 1 teacher and 3 EAs for every 8 students. At Clifford Bowey, we foster a safe and caring learning environment where students build independence by developing communication, social, emotional, physical, and self-regulation skills. In addition to these curricular areas, all students are working on functional math and literacy goals, often through play based learning. Our students are aged 4 - 21 and their individualized goals are developed in consultation with family, through their unique Individual Education Plan (IEP). Ultimately, promoting independence, building quality of life experiences, and preparing students and families for life after 21, are at the core of what we do at Clifford Bowey.Required OCT Divisional Qualifications:Required OCT Additional Qualifications: Special Education Part 1Additional Requirements (experience, knowledge, education,) for the Position: ESL and Kindergarten qualifications and experience would be assets for this position.
