This is why we’re all here.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Event (“Burst”) Tooling & Resource Coordinator to join our Employee Experience team. The Employee Experience team connects Shopifolk to our mission, to their work, and to each other. We serve Shopifolk in their day-to-day experience, through IRL moments, digital experiences, and beyond. We are Shopifolk obsessed.You’ll be a part of the Event (“Burst”) Agency team at Shopify, and our mandate is to partner with other teams to create intentional, curated, and seamless events (or “bursts”) for Shopifolk. In this role, you will focus on knowledge management strategies and examining, developing, tweaking, and enhancing our burst management processes from beginning to end. You will also be integral in supporting administrative needs of burst producers to optimize their time and allow them to focus on burst execution.Responsibilities

  • Own communication and workflow tools to keep the team on the same page (eg. spreadsheets, trackers, process documents), and implement ways we collect and use data.
  • Act as a burst data subject matter expert.
  • Oversee and process payments. Reconcile credit card charges.
  • Build and maintain knowledge management resources.
  • Work with the team and stakeholders to analyze what’s working well and what’s not, and develop and implement new solutions to find the best process.
  • Advocate simultaneously for the burst experience, and the teams or vendors that support it.
  • Build relationships with many different teams and stakeholders across Shopify to support the program.
  • Identify more efficient tools for our current processes, and experiment with ways to help us work together more smoothly and effectively.
  • Teach new stakeholders about processes, communicating changes and updates clearly, and providing training as needed
  • Own day-to-day operations, including administrative tasks that go into making the program functional on a daily basis, such as moderating communication channels, communicating with Shopifolk, collaborating with burst producers, solving problems that arise, and more.
  • Work with your lead to set, track and measure regular objectives and key results

  • You are detail obsessed, organized, and passionate about team operations
  • You are able to quickly pivot between high-level strategic thinking and detail-oriented work
  • You have experience with process and data management
  • You are equally excited about people, process, and data
  • You love spreadsheets and tooling
  • You have knowledge of Google Sheets and/or Excel
Bonus Experience
  • Experience working on and with remote teams
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Airtable or Asana
  • Experience owning projects from start to finish
  • An understanding of event planning industry and its tools (i.e. Social Tables)
