R.W. Tomlinson is currently seeking a licensed AZ Float Driver. In this role you will be required to operate a Float Truck in a safe manner. This includes the loading and unloading of large equipment such as loaders, shovels, dozers, rock trucks and paving equipment. This position will be located on 3150 Rideau Road.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Operate and drive primarily float trucks to transport equipment local routesPerform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargoEnsure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goodsRecord cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumptionAdminister bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain log booksCommunicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and on-board computersMay perform emergency roadside repairsOperate equipment in a safe and efficient manner in order to minimize the risk of injury and property damageREQUIREMENTS:Valid AZ Driver’s License5 years’ driving experienceAbility to drive different types of equipmentGood knowledge of permits, load security & dimension of loadsGood with paperworkAbility to work flexible hours including occasional weekendsExperience with float trucks considered an assetTOMLINSON OFFERS:Competitive wagesBonus programsEmployer paid health and dental benefitsExtensive training programs and tuition reimbursementRetirement benefits programFamily-oriented team environmentEmployee discounts and other rewards programsThe Tomlinson Group of Companies encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
