We are currently seeking an experienced HFC Technician to join our fast-growing team.PositionHFC TechnicianOttawa, OntarioFull TimeJob InformationPentagon Group has immediate openings for experienced HFC Technicians to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. Candidates must have experience with troubleshooting and repairing basic distribution problems associated with RF and AC elements, installing, and replacing HFC physical plant network components such as coax, its actives, passives, grounding systems, and pedestals according to technical specifications. Candidates must be able to read and accurately interpret network plans, equipment schematics and locates on site. A strong safety conduct is required as safety is a key to our success!Responsibilities and Experience· As directed, trouble shoot, isolate faults, complete cutovers and reinstate network plant to meet technical specifications; regularly test all HFC network components using test equipment including signal level meters, volt-ohm meters, leakage detector, Time Domain Reflector (TDR), Underground fault locator, and other related test equipment.· Document and maintain accurate records to all repairs performed each shift including time worked, materials used, daily logs as required; properly record all required information on data devices and/or work orders, surveys, referrals, etc.· Operate company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
