The Human Resource Generalist will determine staffing requirements for the administration department and oversee the hiring of staff. This role will also evaluate policies and procedures and provide recommendations for changes to improve efficiency. The Human Resources Generalist must possess ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance and ability to initiate and model positive change.The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting the operational and strategic objectives of the organization by utilizing their skills and knowledge in many functional areas of Human Resources, including but not limited to; employee and labour relations, legislative compliance, human resources programs, recruitment and selection, organizational development, writing/updating job descriptions, writing /updating policies and Procedures, training, health and safety and performance management. The Human Resources Generalist will play an integral role in promoting and strengthening a culture where health, safety, quality, and risk management are important elements of everyday work life and focus on a collaborative approach to continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee and Labour Relations
