Job Description

Painting TechnicianCOME JOIN OUR DYNAMIC FAMILY!Awesome team!Innovative company based on the core values of respect, integrity, & ownership with team culture that encourages innovation & constant improvement.Employer: MR Kitchens – A custom kitchen cabinet manufacturer with 3 showrooms in the Ottawa region in business since 1986. Shop is located in Vars - 15 minutes east of Ottawa - 20 minutes south of Orleans.

  • Operate, adjust & clean a CEFLA horizontal spraying robot
  • Mix paint & stain colours according to prescribed recipes
  • Paint & Stain pieces vertically & horizontally by hand with air spray gun
  • Create custom colour matches to match client’s requested colours
  • Understand and follow priorities established by Finishing Team Lead & Shop Supervisor to ensure timely completion of work with tight deadlines
  • Monitor continuously the quality of the work and train workers to ensure work is done to needed standards
  • Work with team to meet needed goals and deadlines and go the extra mile when required

Required Knowledge & Expertise:
  • 2-5 years experience operating a robotic spray-painting machine
  • 2-5 years experience painting or staining parts with hand spray gun in an industrial environment
  • 2-5 years experience mixing paints & stains according to prescribed recipes
  • 2-5 years experience matching custom paint colours by eye (no digital colour scanner available)
  • Technical training in appropriate hand spraying technique

Licence/Certification:
  • Driving Licence and vehicle (no bus service) (required)
