Job Description

Egg Farmers of Canada (EFC) is seeking Industrial Products Program Logistics Specialist to join the Operations team in a fast-paced, challenging, and exciting work environment. The ideal candidate for this position will have 4-5 years experience in a logistics and/or business administration/accounting role. This position is responsible for coordinating the program activities of the Industrial Products Program (IPP) and supporting IPP staff in the development and delivery of programs and products.Duties and Responsibilities:Program Coordination

  • Review, verify, code and process industrial product declarations.
  • Maintain accurate records with respect to sales, invoicing, costs and inventories.
  • Generate declared product reports and distribute declarations to all units and Provincial Boards and verify accuracy of website information.
  • Process customer claims, which includes preparing credit notes, revising costs and transposing invoices.
  • Organize the delivery of industrial products and return of supplies.
  • Liaise with transportation carriers
  • Generate stock status report to reconcile with total product received on a weekly basis.
  • Process supplementary import permits as requested and adjustments for improper declaration of products
  • Calculate eligible trade discount credits (e.g. boil/grade fibre, graded box fibre, Se and AI).
  • Allocate release numbers and maintain release file.
  • Prepare Throughput Report for Department of Global Affairs Canada regarding global permit allocations.
  • Maintain reports of claims on a monthly basis.
  • Source and arrange inter-provincial sales of table loads as required.
  • Prepare and distribute imports and storage claim spread sheet to processors. Review and prepare these claims for payment.
Administrative Activities
  • Create and generate various reports as needed and/or requested by the IPP Unit And demonstrate ability to understand and provide feedback on data
  • Proof-read, edit, format and create various documents, as well as write memos and letters as needed.
  • Correspond with various stakeholders through email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings.
Qualifications/Skills:General Knowledge
  • Knowledge of standardized work methods, processes and approaches related to office coordination and administration.
  • Knowledge of Logistics/Supply Chain practices and trends analysis
  • Knowledge and experience with accounting and transactions
  • Knowledge of project management activities, processes and documentation would be considered an asset.
Abilities
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative and be results-oriented.
  • Ability to bring forward and steer through initiatives for program improvements
  • Mathematical and/or accounting skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to use various software applications. Use of Tableau would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to support and conduct unit project work through all stages of development, execution and delivery
Education and Experience:
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and/or Business Administration
  • Experience in accounting is considered an asset
  • 4 – 5 years experience in a logistics and/or business administration/accounting role.
