S/he will understand the challenges faced by clients and technology, the alternatives, and the remedy approach to best fit the resiliency requirements.In executing a consulting engagement, you will perform resiliency consulting assessment and build recommendations for implementation and orchestration:Resiliency Strategy and Vision for the “always on” modelOrganization resiliency for keeping pace with organization changesProcess resiliency for orchestration and business process availabilityApplication resiliency for the “active-active” uptime of systemsData resiliency for the protection and availability of corporate dataIT Infra resiliency for recovery, BC, DR, HAFacility resiliency for prime and alternative work areasand will be inspired by the opportunity to work in a team to develop new processes and technologies to overcome these challenges.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a bilingual (French/English) IT Management Resiliency Consultant, you will support IBM’s consistent growth plan by bringing in your experience and expertise in IT Management Consulting and specifically in the enterprise Resiliency, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery areas.The IT Management Resiliency Consultant, as a subject matter expert, will support the national sales community and account teams in the discussion of Resiliency and Resiliency principles to demonstrate (a) evidence of our knowledge and capabilities and (b) assist clients in refining their understanding of IBM resiliency point-of-views, principles and approaches to increase the posture and orchestration of resiliency within their enterpriseThe IT Management Resiliency Consultant will create a Resiliency based solution, engineer the solution as part of the proposal process, and to provide proposal content such as estimates, assumptions and deliverables apply customization where necessary against the pre-established offering and custom assets.Emphasis on your ability to:assess risks to identify unacceptable physical threats, potential problem areas, or risks that could impact business operations, and to define preventive actions (not only remedies) or risk transfer alternativesidentify business impacts to define the financial and operational impact of a disaster, to quantify requirements for recovery time frames and data integrity, and to prioritize the recovery sequence of business functionsdevelop resiliency strategy and roadmap to define feasible recovery alternatives for an organization and to identify the optimum recovery strategy based on a cost/benefit analysis, addressing each major component in your environment: Workplace, Call Center (voice/telephony), Network, and Data Centerdevelop business continuity and resiliency plans to describe the tasks that users have to execute to respond to a disaster situation and to be able to perform vital business functions for return to normal operations and/or to create a comprehensive guideline for managing a disaster which affects the organization’s IT environment, telephony, and facilities to respond to a disaster situationThe IT Management Resiliency Consultant will independently or as part of a consulting team, perform the consulting solution, create the consulting resiliency deliverables, and achieve the project outcomes while communicating the project success resulting in high client satisfaction.Finally, the IT Management Resiliency Consultant will be perceived as the trusted advisor and brand expert for resiliency services within the IBM Canadian and Americas consulting practices.
