(NASDAQ: LORL).The Manager, Investor Relations will oversee and manage all Investor Relations activities and will also build and foster relationships with senior management and subject matter experts across the company. This role will serve as the primary contact with the investment community where the objective will be to enhance Telesat’s Investor Relations strategy.

  • How you will contribute*
  • Develop and execute strategic investor relations plan to include global investor targeting, communication of key milestones and metrics for success.
  • Serve as primary contact with investment community (buy and sell side) and develop a thorough understanding of analyst financial models, stock ownership, stock price, research reports and other items, and monitor and assess changes and trends in ownership of the Company’s stock.
  • Ensure that messaging is timely, accurate, and transparent to shareholders and equity research analysts as a component of an ongoing organizational plan to drive long-term shareholder value.
  • Oversee and manage the content development and key messages for financial audiences, including investor presentations, management scripts and Q&A for quarterly earnings calls, as well as materials for Board of Directors, and other investment and disclosure-related documents.
  • Monitor stock trading dynamics to report on institutional shareholder activity and share performance analysis concisely for management, and on occasion, the Board of Directors.
  • Plan and oversee execution of key investor events, including road shows and periodic investor days, which requires occasional travel.
  • Monitor market and industry news including competitor, regulatory, and broader external environment changes to understand potential impact on Telesat’s business.
  • Education and Experience required*
  • Requires relevant Investor Relations experience in a management role at a public company, or within the investment community.
  • Experience with a US SEC reporting issuer is desirable; or familiarity with SEC requirements.
  • Substantial financial investment analysis experience, coupled with an in-depth understanding of a complex global technology business and organization.
  • Expertise in communicating and building relationships with financial analysts/portfolio managers, and institutional investors.
  • University graduate with degree in Business, Law, Commerce or Economics.
Decision Making
  • Independent judgement in assessing requirements, planning, scheduling and organizing, assessing materiality of information for public disclosure and appropriate record keeping
  • Foster relationships with senior management and subject matter experts within Telesat
