Ready to make an impact*About the role*The Manager, Medical Operations reports to the Medical Director, leading the external presence of IMAT and acting as a key community liaison.This is a position for those who thrive on exploring new frontiers and building numerous meaningful relationships with key stakeholders in our industry. The Manager, Medical Operations is a collaborative team member, interacting with and acting as a glue between the numerous divisions of Fullscript. S/he will be both customer and employee-centric, use refined insights and data-driven decision-making to maintain a cutting edge industry pulse, drive new medical tech strategies, and represent Fullscript in the clinical community.The position involves a wide variety of priorities including leading IMAT’s industry insights initiative; overseeing and optimizing the engagement with Fullscript’s Medical Advisory Board and various medical-specific community partners; develop and maintain the process to hyper-curate and personalize Fullscript’s catalog; engage with Fullscript’s merchandising and business development units to support in partner evaluation; and oversee Fullscript’s fledgling quality program. Therefore, the candidate must have experience in project management, technical management, corporate collaboration, and have a very clear understanding of the industry Fullscript operates in. The candidate will play a role in shaping the future of IMAT and Fullscript and must, therefore, be highly driven, independent, entrepreneurial, and possess excellent communication and organization skills.This role does not involve direct reports, but rather the functional direction of a team of individual contributors that formally report to the Director, IMAT Operations. The Manager, Medical Operations will be responsible for project, task and content delivery, but not be required to manage the individual needs of individual contributors.What you'll do:

  • Industry Insights Oversight (20% of job function)
  • Work with the Medical Director to plan, prioritize, and execute IMAT’s industry insights function
  • Develop and oversee the industry insights gathering process to maintain a cutting edge perspective of products and developments in integrative medicine
  • Coordinate and partner with functional stakeholders/leaders that require industry insights
  • Oversee the development of detailed reports and presentations
  • Advisory Board & Community Management (20% of job functions)
  • Work with the Medical Director to plan, prioritize, and execute IMAT’s community engagement strategy (differs from but overlaps with IMAT’s Community Development strategy)
  • Oversee the coordination of essential board events and meetings
  • Oversee the ongoing engagement of board members and key community stakeholders
  • Quality Program (20% of job functions)
  • Work with the Medical Director and IMAT content leads to plan, prioritize and execute Fullscript’s product quality and education program
  • Oversee the development of a program that shines a light on the industry’s product quality standards to help guide both practitioners and patients in decision making
  • Blend this program into IMAT’s industry insights program and overall content/educational offering
  • Partner with industry stakeholders (suppliers, key opinion leaders, community members, academic institutions, etc) to develop an innovative program that creates a level of supply-chain transparency not previously known in this industry
  • Curated Catalog Experience (15% of job functions)
  • Work with the Medical Director to plan, prioritize, and execute Fullscript’s catalog curation strategy in partnership with the Product, Merchandising & Business Development teams
  • Oversee the implementation of a process that integrates up-to-date industry insights to provide guidance to the Merchandising team on product selection/removal
  • Frequently meet with new brands/partners to evaluate product/catalog fit and funnel these impressions/findings into the Industry Insights initiative
  • Business Development Evaluation (15% of job functions)
  • Work with the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer to support the Business Development team in evaluating new business partnerships
  • Frequently meet with new or existing partners to evaluate product/ecosystem fit and funnel these impressions/findings into the Industry Insights initiative
  • Act as a clinical representative and key stakeholder of IMAT in key strategic interactions
  • Other (10%)
  • Collaboration with the IMAT content teams in presenting and developing educational content
  • Manage the workload of Medical Operation Coordinator or associated ICs related to Medical Operations
What you'll bring to the team:
  • Industry-related clinical degree - medical, naturopathic, chiropractic, or similar
  • Minimum five (5) years industry-related experience in a similar role related natural health products, integrative medicine, or similar
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in managing projects and improving operational efficiencies
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively managing numerous high-profile relationships simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience working with natural health products and/or the integrative medicine supply chain
  • Demonstrated ability to manage numerous projects and processes simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work under high pressure and in an ever-evolving environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams and fellow leaders
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
  • Ability to think analytically and utilize data effectively
  • Proficient in G Suite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Additional (ideal but not essential) assets:
  • Graduate training and/or certification in business, project and/or people management
  • Clinical experience (eg healthcare provider) in health sciences or integrative medicine
  • Demonstrated experience working in a healthcare environment (clinic, pharmacy, academic institution, etc.) or service environment that caters to healthcare practitioners
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the integrative healthcare and/or the supplement industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of an evidence-based approach to healthcare
