With more than 1,100 beds and approximately 12,000 staff members, we deliver specialized care to the Eastern Ontario region.From the compassion of our people to the relentless pursuit of new discoveries, The Ottawa Hospital never stops seeking solutions to the most complex health-care challenges while continually engaging with the community to support our vision for better patient care.Working together with its research institute, the University of Ottawa, and other partners, the hospital is continually gaining national and international recognition for high-quality patient care, teaching and research, while striving to meet the needs of the culturally diverse community we serve.Rotation/ShiftsDays, 8 hour shifts.What you will doThe Manager, Treasury Operations is responsible for the development and execution of the overall strategic plan of the TOH Treasury Department, which includes developing strategies, financial models, and implementing & utilizing state of the art technology to effectively manage TOH’s Treasury processes. Processes include cash management & forecasting, working capital management, investment management, treasury risk management, interacting with financial institutions, banking reconciliations, credit rating agency relations, reporting to the Ministry of Health and debt management.This position will oversee, forecast, and report regularly on TOH’s treasury positions and key performance indicators, while interacting with a variety of stakeholders from cross-functional teams, senior management, and external stakeholders. This position will also assist in the co-ordination of external audits, and other financial reporting for treasury transactions, be responsible for researching and maintaining a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of industry trends in accounting standards and MIS guidelines as it relates to Treasury management, and other business-related expertise.What you will bring

  • Four (4) year undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Management or Finance;
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation;
  • Seven (7) years of progressive financial management experience, including people management/supervision;
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting principles, cash forecasting techniques, internal control concepts, and relevant industry legislation;
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of bank relationships and banking operations, including internal controls, in large, decentralized organizations with multiple sources of cash inflows, outflows, and bank accounts;
  • Knowledge and ability to facilitate meetings, conduct effective briefings and presentations, and to develop consensus, both internally and externally, with people who reflect the full range of diversity in objectives;
  • Strong working knowledge with automated financial systems, spreadsheet applications and related business software.
You will stand out with:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
  • Knowledge and practical experience with large ERP system (Oracle);
  • Not for Profit or Health Care experience.
