Job Description

CIRA is best known for managing the system that keeps more than 3.2 million .CA domains running as smooth as maple syrup, but we do so much more to help Canadians thrive on the internet.Whether it’s our cybersecurity products that protect Canadians online, our advocacy work that fights for better internet access, or our Community Investment Program that supports dozens of community-based internet projects across Canada — we work every day to keep the internet “true north strong and free”!As Marketing and Channel Specialist, you will be part of the .CA “go to” list for our registrar partners (RAR). You will help them solve problems but also track their success. You will dive into the .CA content and digital platforms and help the team manage campaigns. You will have the opportunity to create compelling content for social and content channels that are optimized for the .CA audience to drive conversions—and then measure that content to improve it over time. You will dance in your chair when a customer promotion you tried delivers on set goals and then, you’ll try to beat it. You are not afraid to tackle tough problems, trying new things and have challenging conversations, and you love being part of a team that feels the same. Most of all, you are passionate about helping Canadians succeed and thrive on the internet. No one day will be the same!What you do

  • Collaborate with the channel director on maximizing registrar programs including: a twice monthly newsletter, partner onboarding and support, administration of promotional campaigns and the CIRA marketplace audits
  • Research, propose and execute approved new business development activities through the channel
  • Manage the .CA marketing asset library; Develop new assets when needed or on a case by case basis
  • Support the marketing team in tracking the performance of the various ongoing campaigns and ensuring they are on budget
  • Develop content based on strategy and help manage and track .CA social media, blogs posts
  • Lead and create marketing promotions
  • Assist in the elaboration of business reviews and planning.
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • Comfortable with combining online research with internal data sources to assist in drafting marketing content and analysis
  • Strong customer focused
  • Familiar with numbers, spreadsheets, pivot tables
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the domain name, online presence or e-commerce industries
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills
  • Ability to create, edit, and publish multimedia content with familiarity in the platforms required to do so
  • Proficiency in English is essential; bilingualism is desirable.
