Job Description

General Posting InformationPOSITION: PACS AdministratorDEPARTMENT: Diagnostic ImagingCONDITIONS: Full-timeSHIFTS: Days / On-Call7.5 Hours per shift(subject to change)WAGE RANGE: Scale Minimum MaximumNONU $40.18/hr $48.70/hrRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide day to day technical system support for the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), and all integrated systems
  • To provide user support and leadership, including clinical applications training and troubleshooting
  • To provide modality workflow problem resolution, cross cultural applications support and knowledge exchange
  • Implement and manage a daily workflow for data integrity including processes that identify integration problems between any image and any piece of information from PACS or associated applications – Meditech HIS/RIS, Powerscribe, modalities within DI
  • Manage the long-term storage of images / reports for both QCH and Carleton Place Hospitals
  • Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Services, they will work closely with Radiologists, Senior Technologists, Physicians, and Hospital Department Leaders
  • Demonstrate QCH values: accountability, innovation, respect
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5 years experience in Diagnostic Imaging within healthcare environment
  • Experience in Project Management and Project Implementation
  • Knowledge of IT network and database management
  • Knowledge of IS systems building and testing
  • Knowledge of DICOM and HL& communication standards in medicine
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office and Meditech
  • Ability to think creatively and conceptualize new work flow for hospitals utilizing PACS
  • Thorough understanding of the working clinical Diagnostic Imaging environment with multiple modalities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated crisis management leadership and resolution
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to design and create training materials
