In order to achieve this, the incumbent is required to make decisions, participate in communicating a wide variety of information, maintaining detailed academic records and processing financial transactions. The incumbent is a subject specialist on admissions assessments, registration, student record progression and graduate validation. They play a key role in the promotion of goodwill between the college community and our clients. They must ensure that all possible assistance is provided to students to facilitate their education and future employment.Required QualificationsMinimum two (2) year post-secondary Diploma;Minimum five (3) years full-time related clerical experience in a client service environment with demonstrated progression; experience working with databases;Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and well developed listening skills;Excellent client service skills; diplomacy and sound judgement is essential;Ability to foster effective working relationships, supporting the teamwork structure both internal and external to the unit;Proven planning skills and decision-making abilities;Ability to analyze complex situations;Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;Ability to identify, participate and implement lean process improvements;Ability to multi-task under pressure and to meet inflexible deadlines;Ability to respect confidentiality;Ability to take initiative and work both independently and in a team environment;Sound computer and keyboarding skills including experience with the MS Office Suite;Knowledge of a Student Information System would be considered an asset;Experience working in an intercultural environment would be considered an asset;Experience working in a Registrar’s Office in a post-secondary institution would be considered an asset;Experience with Admissions and Registration in a post-secondary institution would be considered an asset.
