Check out our Culture Guide here.As Payroll Specialist you will be an integral part of the payroll process from start to finish and involved in each step of the process. Our team is responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time and is part of the finance team.What youll do:

  • Process bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll through ADP for US and Canada locations; including timecard review, off cycle wage calculations, deductions and paid leave.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, providence and local payroll regulations
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll related questions
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to various departments post each payroll run.
  • Prepare reporting to fund benefit related deductions from employee’s pay- 401k, RRSP, HSA and various tax entities
  • Maintenance and creation of various employee time off policies in the time keeping system
  • Create payroll journal entries for posting in NetSuite(ERP), including regular payroll, month end, and other adjustments
  • Responsible for end of year payroll transactions- W-2s, T-4s, 1099Rs and other required filing in US and CA
  • Required to meet deadlines on multiple projects that may occur at the same time
  • Other duties as assigned that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications of the position
What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll accounting; both US and Canada payroll experience
  • ADP and ADP Workforce Now experience highly desired
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Experience using Excel and Google Suite
  • Project management skills a plus
  • Ability to multitask on multiple projects at any given time
