Reviews work plans, provides templates and recommendations on the methodologies and tools to best support the coordination, planning, and reporting of deliverables of approved SAP Centre of Expertise Projects. Develops and adapts common principles, guidelines, practices, tools, and templates based on IM/IT Departmental Portfolio Management Framework (DPMF) and Project Management best practices (PMP), as well as resource and budget capacity plans and forecasts. Prepares and reports on cluster projects to AAFC executives, including risk analysis and recommendations for risk mitigation strategies, based on the collection and analysis of project performance data and trends. Represents the AAFC SAP Cluster interests and participates at departmental committees and working groups with aligned departmental partners to deliver reports on project planning and status.Work environmentThe Financial Management Applications (FMA) division at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) is a leading, highly reputable SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) providing quality support to an established SAP cluster consisting of 7 departments and 4 smaller agencies. The AAFC SAP CoE is responsible to provided quality maintenance, support and configuration for the SAP Finance and Materiel Management systems including reporting, planning and analytics. The AAFC CoE provides excellent training, documentation and guidance on the SAP financial functionalities and best practices. The team is also responsible for providing strategic vision, direction and roadmap for the continuous development and advancement of the SAP AAFC Cluster solutions.   • Significant* experience in providing support to Information Management or Information Technology projects.
  • Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties on a regular basis for a period of two (2) or more years.
  • Experience in managing human resources, such as assigning work, managing employee leave, conducting performance management appraisals, or coaching.
  • Experience in conducting analysis and preparing results (i.e. project monthly dashboard, financial analysis, etc).
  • Experience leading discussions with management or clients and making recommendations or providing guidance.
  • Experience using advanced features in Microsoft Excel (ex. Formulas, macros, pivot tables)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Degree equivalency
  • Experience in using the SAP system and its various modules and reporting tools, or other financial systems.

  • Experience using advanced features in Microsoft Project (ex. Fully costed projects, resource leveling, report creation).
