Whether you are a team member or a customer, Farm Boy is passionate about creating a unique fresh food shopping experience and ensuring that we deliver on our commitments.As we continue to grow within Ontario, Farm Boy is excited to welcome new team members that share our passion for providing the best fresh shopping experience!Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for coordinating and executing a variety of Private Label branding initiatives including new product label development, packaging research & sourcing and rebranding projects. Working with the Private Label Product Manager, this position will play a key role in the positioning & messaging for new private label products within the Farm Boy Private Label brand. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees, customers and suppliers. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop product positioning and messaging for new private label products.
  • Plan and execute product label repositioning and rebranding of existing Private Label categories.
  • Keep up-to-date on new packaging innovation & technology. Bring forward new packaging concepts for new and existing products.
  • Coordinate and execute product photoshoots with Photographer for new product packaging.
  • Lead internal private label design meetings with relevant stakeholders, record and execute action points.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising teams in planning new product launches.
  • Work with multiple deadlines, organize and prioritize projects.
  • May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field plus 2 to 4 years of experience in the grocery or product development field, or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Previous experience with Private Label and/or Product Development is an asset
  • A passion for great tasting food
  • Strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate information both written and orally, and build and maintain relationships
  • Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment, meeting priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of performance
  • Works independently, with minimal supervision
Work & Sensory Environment:
  • Providing service to several people or departments, working under many simultaneous deadlines
  • May be required to travel between Farm Boy stores, Home Office and/or Central Operations
  • Exposure to eye strain from computer terminals
