A true jewel among Canadian Forces golf facilities, Hylands continues to host numerous regional, national and international events. As part of CFMWS, our mandate is to provide affordable golf to our local military personnel and their families.The Pro Shop Chief oversees the daily operation of the Pro Shop and is a key player in upholding a high-quality experience for our members. The Pro Shop Chief Attendant ensures that the operations of the Pro Shop are running efficiently, such as, bag storage, sales, driving range and practice areas. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising and training Pro Shop employees, as well as working as a team to conduct sales transactions and accept payment for green fees, merchandise, and equipment rentals which includes monitoring equipment that is borrowed. The incumbent will also be responsible for preparing cash deposits, inventory, ensuring stock is maintained, verifying employee hours, and maintaining health, safety and emergency procedure compliance. Furthermore, the incumbent will monitor the storage and cleaning of equipment, the cleanliness of the surrounding area, and tee times in accordance with club policy. The Pro Shop Chief will be required to assist with special events and other duties assigned by their supervisor as required.QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDHigh school diploma AND some years of experience in a related fieldORAn acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be consideredKNOWLEDGE:

  • Of accounting practices

  • Of inventory control procedures
  • Of health and safety practices
EXPERIENCE:
  • In merchandising, marketing and display set-up
  • In using a Point of Sale (POS) system
  • In using general office equipment
  • In personnel administration
  • In cash handling
