Job Description

Job SummaryJob Title: Product Owner - Digital TowerHeadquarters: Ottawa, OntarioIndustry: Technology/AviationJob Type: Full-time (Hybrid)About the JobSearidge Technologies, a global leader and preferred partner for Remote Tower and Digital Airport solutions is currently recruiting for a Product Owner with previous experience and passion for the Air Traffic Control and Airport Operations sectors within the aviation industry. The successful candidate will drive the design, implementation, and strategic planning for the Digital Tower product. This position involves close interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment of product development with customer requirements, quality standards, and business objectives. This will be a permanent, full-time position, reporting directly to the Director of Software Development.Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a clear product implementation roadmap and release plans.
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize product requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews.
  • Act as the primary contact for internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Manage and refine the product backlog to ensure timely, high-quality product delivery.
  • Collaborate with product management, software development, testing teams to ensure products meet quality and usability standards.
  • Monitor product performance and customer feedback for continual improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and System Engineers to meet project timelines, budgets, and expectations.
  • Report regularly on product progress and KPIs to senior management.
  • Foster innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
  • Highly driven, results-oriented, and able to manage time with competing priorities.
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Product Owner or similar role.
  • At least 2 years technical experience in aviation or a similarly mission-critical and regulated industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a team player and willing to mentor and learn
  • Proven track record of excellent written and oral communication in English (reports, presentations, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification
  • Experience creating technical diagrams and drawings using diagram tools
  • Understanding of cybersecurity threats, solutions, and best practices
  • Knowledge of and experience with ISO 27001 and 9001
  • Knowledge of software development principles
  • Experience developing real-time C++ applications
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, or equivalent
  • Experience with Visual Studio (Code), Jira, Windows, Linux, SVN, Git
  • Willingness to travel globally for short periods of time
  • Ability to work with global teams and international stakeholders
  • Familiarity with multiple languages in addition to English
