Find your future with us.Boeing Canada, is looking for a Program Security Advisor reporting to the regional security leader working out of the Petawawa Boeing Office to fill an Alternate Company Security Officer (A/CSO) role.The main function of this position will be the administration and security oversight of the Request-For-Visit (RFV) Program. The Program Security Advisor ensures all Boeing employees and sub-contractors who require access to the designated secret security level facility are processed in accordance with Public Service Procurement Canada (PSPC).As a part of the International Security Activity team, the Program Security Advisor will help develop, implement and adapt organizational policies, processes and procedures for the purpose of safeguarding people, property information and a safety environment while ensuring compliance with applicable government and company security and fire regulations.The Program Security Advisor, will assess risk, advise and deliver technical expertise to program leaders and will work with fellow security professionals. They will also provide guidance and solve problems related to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance and good practice.Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all program security related concerns.
  • Maintaining the Request for Visitation (RFV) and Access Control program in accordance with the contract and government of Canada.
  • Act as the International Security Activity (ISA) Senior Advisor and act as backup to the Company Security officer (CSO).
  • Determining the risk of transfer posed by employees, managers and directors.
  • Completing all A/CSO and Designated Official Certification Programs.
  • As A/CSO, you would be the primary contact for all Medium to Heavy lift Helicopter program (MHLH) personnel security matters.
  • Administration of comprehensive security and (EHS) education training program for MHLH employees.
  • Preparation and maintenance of policy and procedures for handling, storing and keeping records for granting personnel and visitors access to information and materials.
  • Coordinate with Boeing departments on security and access matters.
  • Work with the security element within the facility at CFB Petawawa, Ontario.
  • Actively collaborate with the CSO on both the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CCGP) and the Contract Security Program (CSP) as required by the government of Canada.
  • Perform security briefing to terminated employees.
  • Complete both security clearance files and Canadian Controlled Goods Assessments as required.
  • Administration of the MHLH Facility Security, ensuring at all employees, including sub-contractors are cleared to the highest level of access required.
  • Maintain key Audit and key control for the MHLH Program.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all program EHS responsibilities.
Employer is not willing to sponsor applicants for employment visa status.This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 4+ years’ experience in a security advisor role or equivalent
  • Knowledge of security practices and principles associated with risk analysis and assessment
  • Experience working to deliver to Canadian Government security standards
  • Must be able to obtain Canadian Secret Level II Security Clearance
  • Experience with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Candidate must be eligible for authorization under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
  • Bilingual in both French and English
  • Experience in loss prevention, security training, fiscal management and asset protection
  • Experience delivering security and controlled goods assurance evidence meeting Government of Canada expectation
  • Working knowledge of data protection practices in the international community
  • Active Secret Level II clearance
  • Post-secondary education
Typical Education and Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.)Relocation:This position does not offer relocation.
