Job Description

IntroductionAt IBM, our Project Managers excel by leading and coordinating a project team’s overall performance, scope, cost, and deliverables. Our clients rely on timely and efficient status reports, and as Project Manager, you will drive the charge with project direction, metric definition, and performance management. Needs to have good knowledge of software engineering practices. Must have good project management skills. Ability to ramp quickly on a complex real-time system would be an asset. Work will involve a complex real-time communications system. Strong interpersonal skills are important for this role.In addition to the seat description above, the individual will have the following experience:

  • managing software products and programs for small to medium sized products
  • setting technical vision and direction for a product
  • managing and participating in technical development projects from registration to close-out
  • managing 3rd party contract resources in the development team
  • responding to and managing technical aspects of defence contractor / government RFIs / RFPs in support of bids and proposals (B&P) activity
  • interacting with and influencing customers
  • managing project aspects of procurement of goods and services (
This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions. We are looking for a forward thinker to bring innovative approaches and practical solutions, with the strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead implementation of those ideas in the team. MUST hold a valid Canadian SECRET security clearance. Must be eligible for Controlled Goods certification. Available to work at IBM's 3755 Riverside Drive lab on a full-time basis, 5 days per week.
