Job DescriptionAbout the RoleAs a Project Manager in the Natural Science team, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and delivering environmental and natural heritage-based projects. You will manage multidisciplinary teams and provide technical and strategic guidance to ensure the successful execution of projects for a wide range of clients, including municipal, provincial, federal, and private sectors. This role combines project management expertise with a strong foundation in natural sciences, such as biology, ecology, or environmental science. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the delivery of environmental and natural science projects, including, but not limited to ecological assessments, species-at-risk surveys and inventories, habitat evaluations, environmental impact studies and assessments, and monitoring programs.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, work plans, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal technical staff (e.g., biologists, GIS specialists, planners, designers, etc.), clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee fieldwork planning and execution, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal writing, client relationship management, and identifying new project opportunities.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing.
