BTYs core services include Infrastructure Advisory, Project Management, Project Loan Monitoring, and Cost Management, supported by proprietary data and digital technology solutions.Our Project Delivery team is looking for a Project Manager Controls/ Project Scheduler based out of our office in Ottawa to join us immediately.What You Get To Do

  • Develop work breakdown structures (WBS)
  • Create a high-level master schedule that incorporates the initial CPM schedule and the design team & contractors’ schedule
  • Track critical activities and changes to the critical path impacting the project
  • Track program milestones and interdependencies
  • Utilize industry accepted methodologies to analyze delays
  • Provide information on items impacting the project schedule
  • Responsible for spotting the critical path, as well as proffering alternatives to regain slippage to the schedule
  • Strategize ways to negotiate claims, including office overhead, labor, and equipment costs
  • Responsible for providing technical support in claims litigation
  • Document changes integrated into the project schedule
  • Provide a summary and report on project progress
What Youll Have
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience as a planner/scheduler on capital projects, including design and construction phases
  • Extensive experience with P6 and Microsoft Project
  • University Degree or equivalent to any of the following, Construction Project Management, Architecture or Civil Engineering, etc.
  • Professional qualification such as PMP is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment and initiative;
  • Naturally responsive to internal and external stakeholder requests;
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels;
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail to produce quality work;
  • Strong time management and exceeds deadlines;
  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills;
  • Hold a valid drivers license;
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada; and
  • A combination of experience and education will be considered.
