Job Description

We encourage all qualified persons who share our values and want to contribute to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace to apply.The Systems & Data Analyst is a key member of the PS Systems team and will work closely with PS leadership and collaborate with Information Services (IS), subject matter experts, technical teams, and consultants in the development, testing, deployment, and enhancement of various human capital and payroll management platforms. This role is also responsible for identifying opportunities for system improvement, optimization, process automation, data analysis, and reporting.Other areas of responsibility include system administration and configuration; end-user support; performing data audits and analysis; end-user training and resolving system issues. Additional duties include survey development, data retrieval, and interpretation; custom report design; dashboard assembly in MS Power BI; facilitating interface development initiatives; and participating in system implementation and data migration projects.In this role, you will: Systems & Technology Analysis and Administration 70%

  • Responsible for system analysis, maintenance, and administration of HR Systems. Ensure system compliance with all legislative, uni,on and business requirements
  • Accountable for application enhancements, system and interface development, data process mapping, change testing, and monitoring interface error logs to resolve payroll data transfer issues
  • Liaise with People Services leadership, Information Services, technical teams, vendors, consultants and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve escalated system issues; help define, analyze and validate functional business requirements; and translate those needs into effective system solutions
  • Perform periodic system health checks and ensure functionality and features are up to date;
  • Administer system release testing, identify the potential impact, establish test groups, execute and validate testing plans and user acceptance, ensure data integrity and system functionality;
  • Investigate incoming system questions and concerns; and provide analysis or data pertinent to the issue
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement improvements to existing system processes, procedures, configurations, and functionality to maximize and optimize the use of technologies;
  • Update HR systems with the relevant employee and volunteer information; Support and contribute to business change initiatives and project implementation support;
  • Work with stakeholders to document, design / revise and develop internal static and dynamic SharePoint websites. Act as a SharePoint expert to help clients align business needs & Provide SharePoint site post-implementation support as required
  • Design and implement the JIRA Service desk. Possible involvement in Microsoft D365 upgradation project.
  • Design and develop Smartsheet forms based on business requirements.
  • Implement simple solutions with Microsoft Automate, Power BI, and Power Apps
  • Identify the basic functionality, benefits, capabilities, and business value of Power Platform components.
Process Improvement, Reporting, and Analytics 15%
  • Look for process improvement opportunities. Support the automatization (using Power Automate or RPA tools) and development of key reports, analytics, and metrics;
  • Design, develop and implement various surveys using Survey Monkey, Work Tango, and surveygizmo tools. Design reports and create analytics and dashboard metrics to identify trends, concerns, and progress
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality; acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain data systems; compile, filter, and “clean” data, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Coaching, Mentoring & Support 15%
  • Provide system guidance and respond to escalated queries from internal and external clients;
  • Coach, mentor, and support team members in developing the skills needed to perform their roles by leveraging PS technology use and functionality; offer system input, guidance, and direction to the People Services team
  • Identify training gaps and needs, developing opportunities and ensuring team members are knowledgeable and capable of navigating PS technologies;
  • Author advanced training and administrative ‘how-to’ instruction material as required (documentation, presentations, videos); conduct system ‘train the trainer sessions and offer advanced internal instruction on HCM.
We are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration with a minimum of 5 years experience in HR or compensation technologies or equivalent experience
  • Experience with SharePoint site development and support, Microsoft D365 project implementation, PowerBI, Bi360, and JIRA Service management
  • Solid understanding of core HR processes with Human Resources (CHRP) or Payroll Accreditation (CPP) or working toward certification is an asset.
  • Experience investigating, analyzing, testing, and implementing system applications.
  • Experience with data models, database design development, data mining, and considerable-sized datasets (migrate, compile, manipulate, and merge). Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, compile, organize, and analyze data, and able to design and extract reports from raw data
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products, expertise in MS Power Platform components: Power Apps, Power BI, Microsoft Automate, Common Data Service, Connectors, and AI builder.
  • Expertise in Cross-cloud scenarios across M365, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Azure and 3rd party services.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks), & Excel (macros, pivot and VLOOKUP tables, advanced formulas) is a definite asset
  • Proficiency with Taleo Business Edition-Recruiting & Onboarding, MS Dynamics AX, Kronos Workforce Central & Workforce Dimensions , Video Capture Utilities, Moodle, Raiser’s Edge and survey tools including Survey Monkey, Work Tango, surveygizmo is desired.
  • Fluency in French is a strong asset
  • Able to prioritize work, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management & organizational skills.
