And, of course, to be themselves.We’re looking for a QA Specialist – Automation and Test (New Grads Welcome) - In person OttawaAs a member of the engineering team, you will take an active role in the design, development and execution of automated tests - in an Agile/SCRUM environment - involving both front-end and back-end validation against Entrust Identity Verification product line.This role is hybrid, which means the selected candidate would have an opportunity to work from our office located in Kanata, ON a portion of their time, based on company needs.

How you will make an impact:
  • Active participation in – Standups, Sprint Planning, Review/Demo, Retrospections, and all the QA team related meetings
  • Automate pre-defined use cases using existing tool suite
  • Maintenance activities associated with application code changes
  • Triage daily automated test runs and report application failures to DEV team
  • Follow and adhere to the best practices of software test engineering, Agile methodology, QA practices and processes in the organization.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional development and QA teams
  • Support multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Develop CI/CD Pipelines for execution of test automation
  • Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes
Qualifications:Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
  • 1+ years of experience – development/maintenance of automated functional/performance tests against web-based apps
  • 1+ years of experience in a QA role
  • 1+ years of experience in Agile/SCRUM environment
  • Knowledge of Java Cucumber
  • Knowledge of Jmeter
  • Knowledge of SQL for MS SQL Server and/or Postgres
  • Knowledge of Postman
  • Experience with REST API test - development/maintenance of automated functional/performance tests
  • Experience with defect tracking tools and defect tracking protocols
  • Must possess excellent overall attention to detail and quality
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Task driven with a great attitude and excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, LINUX-based (Ubuntu/CentOS).
  • Working knowledge CI technologies (Kubernetes, and Jenkins)
  • Experience with Atlassian software, development and collaboration tools (JIRA/Confluence/BitBucket)
