  • support and lead the regional development and implementation of emergency response, business continuity and labour disruption contingency programs and planning
  • implement the delivery of business impact analysis, hazard identification and threat/risk assessments
  • provide training for incident management, business continuity awareness, emergency management, safety and security procedures and pandemic awareness
  • foster effective working relationships and maintain linkages and support the Ministrys response and recovery efforts during an emergency
How do I qualifyMandatory
  • This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid G license or equivalent. The offer of employment is conditional upon the successful candidate providing proof that they has a valid drivers license upon being hired.
Judgement and Analytical Skills
  • You have demonstrated analytical, evaluation and problem-solving skills.
  • You have the ability to interpret and apply related legislation.
  • You have the ability to manage projects and work in an independent and self-directed manner and as a member of a team.
Technical Knowledge
  • You have an understanding of risk assessment and management, business continuity and emergency management planning, safety and security procedures, as well as incident management and response concepts.
  • You are familiar with human resources and employee relations principles.
  • You can apply sound working knowledge of computer applications such as project management software, databases, spreadsheets and other office software products.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • You have demonstrated consultation, issue management, negotiation, facilitation, networking and relationship building skills.
  • You have demonstrated oral and written communication skills to prepare and present reports, papers and briefing materials.
  • You have demonstrated ability to facilitate the work of small groups and to develop and deliver presentations.
