Job Description

ABOUT THE HOTEL:The Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton Ottawa Downtown, conveniently situated in downtown Ottawa, steps from Parliament Hill with subway transportation at the hotel’s front door for easy access to many points of interest including festival venues. The hotel features 171 extended-stay guest rooms under the Homewood Suites by Hilton banner and 175 units providing short-stay accommodations under the Hilton Garden Inn banner and a total of 4,500 square feet of conference space, a bar, restaurant, pool and fitness facility.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet customers at the entrance of Tulip Restaurant
  • Provide personalized service to hotel guests and customers with accurate wait times during busy periods
  • Maintain a neat and, organized front of house environment
  • Seat guests and take drink orders as needed to ensure ideal speed of service
  • Rotate seating between different stations to ensure even workloads for servers
  • Check on tables
  • Buss tables
  • Re stocking coffee, juice and milk dispensers
  • Wiping spills and maintaining cleanliness of all appliances and counter space throughout breakfast meal period
  • Remove trash
  • Re stock self-service food and supplies as needed
  • Return reusable supplies to storage area as required
  • Assist with opening and closing tasks and side work as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Flexible schedule, particularly for weekend and holiday.
  • One or more years of customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to work 6 to 8 hours on your feet at a time
  • Friendly, open disposition.
  • Team player who looks for ways to help-out other employees whenever needed
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $15.00 per hourSchedule:
